Nothing but time....

As a result of being graduated and unemployed, I've got nothing but time these days! I've watched just about every tv series worth watching on Netflix - sidenote: Parker and I just started Grey's Anatomy and we can't decide if we like it or not. We keep saying that we don't but its addicting so we can't stop watching. - I keep the apartment pretty clean. I read every so often. I spend countless hours on Pinterest and social media. So today, I decided to try my hand at a little graphic design. Even though these designs I made are by no means great, it was fun to try something new! With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I figured I'd keep the printables LOVE themed. There are links below each photo where you can download the file if you feel so inclined. They look really cute printed out and framed so perhaps I'll practice up a bit more so I can make some for different holidays and seasons. Enjoy!

Some of my favorite lyrics by Train :) They fit the LOVE theme perfectly!

This one is the same as the one before only without the corner embellishments.

I love the lips on this one ^^ hehe

These next two were my very first ones so they are pretty simple but they do have a clean look to them that I really like!

This one ^^ is my favorite. How cute would it look printed and put in a cute frame to display during the LOVE month!

The next two are actually something I did a while ago for Parker's birthday. I printed a bunch of the coupon template cards (put several on one page) along with the coupon book cover. After cutting them all out I punched a hole in the top left corner of each card and then tied them all together with some cute ribbon. The next part was the fun part... I wrote cute things on each of the coupon cards such as a back massage, dinner and a movie, cuddles, etc.. you can keep it as clean or as x-rated as you want ;). Print them out and give them to your honey for a thoughtful and fun Valentine's gift that keeps on giving! Its really so simple and fun and your sweetheart will be thrilled with this gift just like Parker was. He still has cards left over from his birthday last June that he cashes in every once in a while.

Anyway, it was so fun for me to spend some of my free time designing these printables. Feel free to print them, pin them, save them for later, whatever.

Girls Day Out!

Back in November Tessa, Candace, and I attended the Pinner's Conference in Sandy, Utah for a girls day out. Now, what is the Pinner's Conference you ask? Well is basically real life Pinterest! It was a dream, I tell you! There were a ton of booths that were selling different things, a bunch of giveaways to enter, and people giving out some free samples of their products. There were classes that you could take that ranged from cooking to fitness to crafting to make up to clothing!

As we were wandering and marveling at all of the cute things they had to offer, we stumbled upon the Pebbles In My Pocket booth and found the CUTEST wooden 'joy' craft. We each purchased one and decided to put them together about a week later.
We modified the instructions a little bit because we didn't want to spend any extra money on supplies that we would probably only use once. For example, we used the leftover mod podge to glue on the leaves to the letter J instead of wood glue that was recommended and rather than buying chalk to give the edges a distressed look, we used brown eyeshadow! Here is the finished product!
I thought using a snowflake for the O was adorable!
I am so happy with how this turned out... so much so that I haven't put any of my Christmas decorations away yet :) haha After having so much fun doing this craft, I've definitely caught the crafting bug and I'm so excited to share the other fun things I've been working on!
